HUGHP and HUHS are proud to introduce their SUPPORT-to-QUIT Program to help you quit smoking once and for all. This program is exclusively available to all Harvard students* and HUGHP members.
Here's how the SUPPORT-to-QUIT program works:
Make an appointment with your primary care clinician. Your provider may give you a prescription for a smoking cessation medication that you can obtain for the lowest copayment. We’ve lowered the copayment for Chantix and Buproprion, two of the most effective prescription drugs for smoking cessation.
Fill your prescription and pick up your SUPPORT-to-QUIT Tool Bag at the HUHS Pharmacy. The bag contains a four-week supply of FREE nicotine patches and counseling information. Studies show that long-term smokers trying to quit need support along the way. You will have access to telephone, online, or face-to-face counseling.
Follow the three program steps.
1. Use your nicotine patch as directed.
2. Take the medication prescribed by your clinician.
3. Take advantage of the counseling services available to you.
To get started on the program, contact your HUHS Primary Care Clinician.

*Students who waived the Harvard Student Health Plan are not eligible to participate in the program.
