Vision Care

The Eye Services clinic at HUHS offers a range of vision care services for children and adults. Vision care services are available on a fee-for-service basis to those presenting a valid HUID card, and are covered with copayment under the HUGHP employee health plan.  HUHS ophthalmology services are available by referral from your primary care provider.

Eye Exams

HUHS Eye Services offers eye examinations and prescriptions for eyeglasses, sunglasses, and safety glasses.

Contact Lens Service

Contact lens examinations, fitting service, and training classes.

Vision Therapy

Vision Therapy is non-surgical eye care and treatment that can help you develop or improve visual skills and abilities.

Optical Shop

The HUHS Optical Shop offers a range of products and services.

Who’s Who IN VISION CARE SERVICES
Ophthalmologist    
Board certified physician with special training in the diagnosis and treatment of eye problems.    

Optometrist    
State-licensed professional who screens for eye diseases and vision defects, prescribes glasses, and fits contact lenses.    

Optician    
State-licensed professional who fits eyeglasses, edges lenses, and in some instances fits contact lenses.    

Contact Lens Technician    
State-licensed professional who instructs contact lens-wearers in the use and care of their contact lenses.
