Personalized Care
As needed, a private consultation room is available to discuss your confidential prescription needs, or any questions you may have about prescription medication or over-the-counter products.
New Prescriptions
The HUHS Pharmacy carries a formulary of prescription medications and over-the-counter products, many of which are available at lower prices than at other local pharmacies. The Pharmacy can fill prescriptions written only by a HUHS clinician or a credentialed HUGHP network provider. If available, a generic medication is substituted and dispensed for a prescribed brand medication as mandated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. With many prescriptions you can receive up to a three-month supply of medication. Speak with your HUHS clinician for details.
Note to Students: The Student Health Fee includes coverage of most prescription medications; limitations apply.
Refills
If a refill is needed, call 617-495-8468 (24 hours a day). Be prepared to supply the seven-digit Prescription number located at the top-left corner of the prescription label. You can also call the Pharmacy directly during regular business hours at 617-496-6661.

Easy Payment Options
- Students may charge pharmacy items to their term bill. These charges will be listed confidentially on all reports as "Pharmacy Charges" with a dollar amount.
- Harvard Faculty and Staff may use payroll deduction to charge pharmacy purchases.
- We also accept payment by cash, personal check, MasterCard and Visa.
- We accept PCS, Paid, and Express Prescription Cards.
Special Orders and Discounts
If you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask. We can special order your request and usually have it for you in less than 24 hours.
The Pharmacy offers 15% off of specially selected OTC products every two weeks, and holds a Pharmacy-wide sale once per quarter.
